Technical Director - Delivery

They are looking for a Technical Director - Delivery who will own the solution design and implementation of large and complex data warehouses on Public Cloud, while building strong relationships with customers across various industry sectors.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end project delivery of Data Warehouse migration project to the cloud from project estimations, project planning, resourcing, and monitoring perspective
  • Responsible for working closely with customers to understand the requirements, discuss and define various use cases
  • Be able to handle customer discussions, handle situations, and make decisions
  • Be able to anticipate and decide on priorities to be tackled and handled
  • Be able to build a strong onshore team
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to define the big data solutions roadmap and prioritize the deliverables
  • Drive and participate in requirements gathering workshops, estimation discussions, design meetings, and status review meetings
  • Participate and contribute to Solution Design and Solution Architecture for implementing migration projects
  • Monitor and review the project's status and ensure that the deliverables are on track with respect to scope, budget, and time
  • Communicate the status of the project transparently to all the stakeholders regularly
  • Identify and manage risks/issues related to deliverables and arrive at mitigation plans to resolve the issues and risks
  • Seek proactive feedback continuously to identify areas of improvement

Skills

  • Strong technical depth, business acumen, delivery & program management experience
  • Technical background in the modernization of data warehouses and related applications to the cloud
  • End-to-end project delivery of Data Warehouse migration project to the cloud from project estimations, project planning, resourcing, and monitoring perspective
  • Working closely with customers to understand the requirements, discuss and define various use cases
  • Handle customer discussions, handle situations, and make decisions

  • 18+ years of delivery & program management experience with a minimum of 6+ years in Cloud, Big Data & BI Analytics, Modernization, Migration, and Application Development
  • Strong expertise in data warehousing technologies, ETL process, and data integration
  • Technical Delivery Management in the Cloud (Public & Private) with extensive hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud services and frameworks including Bigquery
  • Exposure to 2 Hyperscale Cloud Providers (GCP, Azure, or AWS)
  • Have worked in a client-facing role or at a client location
  • Ability to lead multiple teams with a strong focus on Delivery
  • Experience working in/with multi-vendor, 3rd parties, and client teams
  • Good at people management and has experience leading onsite and offshore teams globally
  • Excellent articulation and written communication skills
  • Provide thought leadership, lead innovation & ideation by leveraging evolving technologies to identify opportunities for efficiency in driving business excellence
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science or Engineering
  • Having a Business Management Degree is preferred
  • Up to 15-20% travel
