<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Warehouse Associate</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in preparing, shipping, receiving, and organizing inventory within a clean, well-organized distribution center. This position operates Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and focuses on ensuring accurate, efficient, and safe movement of goods using a variety of warehouse equipment and tools.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Prepare shipments for postal or commercial carriers by determining the most economical and efficient shipping method and selecting appropriate shipping containers.</li><li>Pack items securely to ensure safe delivery and prevent damage during transit.</li><li>Prepare bills of lading and verify that items to be shipped match work orders, including quantities, destinations, and routing.</li><li>Receive and unload incoming materials and compare packing slips with purchase orders to verify the accuracy of shipments.</li><li>Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and log inventory for both incoming and outgoing shipments.</li><li>Use scan guns, RF scanners, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, tow motors, forklifts (sit-down and stand-up), reach trucks, and other material handling equipment to move and track inventory.</li><li>Perform order picking and order selecting to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Load and unload trucks, including large box trucks, as needed to support shipping and receiving operations.</li><li>Assist with inventory control and inventory management by accurately tracking stock levels and updating records using data entry and computer systems.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with distribution center standards and safety guidelines.</li><li>Handle general labor tasks related to material handling, packaging, shrink wrapping, and preparing orders for shipment.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure orders are processed and shipped on time to customers.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including preparing shipments, bills of lading, and verifying orders against work orders and purchase orders.</li><li>Proficiency in order picking, order selecting, and packing items for safe and accurate delivery.</li><li>Hands-on experience using RF scanners, RF scan guns, and scan guns to track and manage inventory.</li><li>Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, tow motors, sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks.</li><li>Strong inventory control and inventory management skills, including sorting, counting, logging, and labeling inventory.</li><li>Basic computer skills and data entry abilities to update inventory records and shipping documentation.</li><li>Ability to work independently while maintaining positive relationships with team members, leadership, and internal partners.</li><li>Capability to handle average-weight objects up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and lift up to 60 pounds as needed.</li><li>Comfort working in environments with moderate exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, and dust.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy when checking quantities, destinations, and routing information for shipments.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience driving large box trucks is preferred and considered a strong asset.</li><li>Prior experience in a distribution center, warehouse inventory, or general labor environment is beneficial.</li><li>Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for various types of trucks and trailers.</li><li>Comfort using shrink wrap, box cutters, and other packaging tools and equipment.</li><li>Ability to adapt to established processes and contribute to a well-organized, safety-focused operation.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>This organization offers a stable, growth-oriented environment where internal promotion is a priority and long-term careers are encouraged.
