  • Our DevOps Engineering Lead you will be responsible for the deployment, integration, and management of private, public, and/or hybrid cloud platform services supporting the development of complex analytical applications at enterprise scale. In this role the candidate will be demonstrating their networking and security protocol knowledge to ensure safe and scalable environment provisioning while protecting accessibility to data assets residing within. This person will be comfortable developing infrastructure as code using scripts, templates, blueprints, workflows, CI/CD orchestration tools, and other automation technologies in the spirit of speed and consistency. Continuous collaboration will be an important aspect of this role working with a variety of architects and peer engineering teams ensuring deployed services meet the highest levels of scalability, reliability, and performance while balancing security, maintainability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Use infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform to provision and support reliable, fault tolerant and scalable cloud-based storage, compute, and networking services. •
  • Build metrics and monitoring solutions to track latency and overall health of the system.
  • Work with data governance and data lake teams to implement access controls to data and services.
  • Follow information security guidelines to secure all cloud-based resources.
  • Create and maintain source code repository and gated CI/CD pipelines to build, package and deploy applications
  • Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Incidence management and root cause analysis
  • Experience working on an Azure based infrastructure
  • Design and implement high-volume data ingestion and streaming pipelines using Open Source frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, Nifi, and Kafka on ADO (Azure Dev Ops)
  • Excellent understanding of Ruby, Python, Perl, Java, Json Yaml, IaC, Terraform
  • Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo
  • Excellent troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles

Other skills considered a plus:

  • End to end implementation of CICD pipelines from scratch
  • Experience building not architecture for our DevOps Lead

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Seven (7) years’ experience in cloud engineering or related field. Experience providing leadership in a general planning or consulting setting. Experience as a leader or a senior member of multi-function project teams. Strong oral and written communication skills. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.

  • This position can be domiciled anywhere in the United States. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need.
