<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Forklift Operator</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role operates forklifts and other powered equipment in a high-volume distribution center to support receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping activities. The forklift operator uses RF scanners and voice-directed systems to handle inventory accurately, maintain stock levels, and ensure products are safely and efficiently prepared for outbound transport.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Operate forklifts and other powered warehouse equipment to unload incoming freight in the receiving area.</li><li>Process and scan incoming product using RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory records.</li><li>Stage inventory on the dock in preparation for stocking and put-away activities.</li><li>Use RF scanners to resupply bins and maintain accurate inventory levels throughout the warehouse.</li><li>Store, organize, and rotate freight to support efficient and accurate order picking.</li><li>Work on foot or operate a reach lift as needed to access and move product within racking and storage areas.</li><li>Use a voice-directed (Voice Collect) headset to pick and fulfill customer orders accurately.</li><li>Select and stage merchandise for shipment, ensuring orders are complete and properly labeled.</li><li>Fulfill orders efficiently by walking or using powered equipment while maintaining productivity and quality standards.</li><li>Operate forklifts and other powered equipment to safely load outbound trailers.</li><li>Load product strategically to maximize trailer space and protect items during transport.</li><li>Follow all warehouse safety guidelines, procedures, and best practices while working around moving equipment and machinery.</li><li>Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on productivity, accuracy, and safety.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Proven ability to operate forklifts and other powered warehouse equipment safely.</li><li>Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.</li><li>Ability to use RF scanners to scan, track, and manage inventory.</li><li>Capability to work with high-reach equipment or reach lifts to access elevated storage locations.</li><li>Order picking or order selector experience in a fast-paced setting.</li><li>Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment.</li><li>Safety-oriented mindset with consistent adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.</li><li>Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time during the shift.</li><li>Ability to stoop, squat, and kneel on a regular basis to access product and perform tasks.</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when needed.</li><li>Willingness to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.</li><li>Availability to work weekends and holidays as required by operational needs.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience with inventory control and maintaining inventory accuracy.</li><li>Familiarity with high-reach forklifts or reach trucks.</li><li>Previous experience using voice-directed picking systems such as Voice Collect.</li><li>Background in high-volume order picking or distribution operations.</li><li>Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.</li><li>Strong focus on productivity while maintaining quality and safety standards.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You join a team-focused distribution environment that values safety, accuracy, and employee well-being.
