We are looking for a self-starting Technology-focused, Business oriented Project Manager to lead the planning, execution and deployment of a multi-deliverable project associated with standardizing and improving Canada’s Enterprise Data, Analytics and AI platforms and processes. The Project Manager will be positioned as part of the Global Technology Project Management Office but will be the lead project manager working with cross functional and stakeholders to lead the project from discovery and requirements gathering to production deployment. This position entails combining Project Management practices using both waterfall and agile best practices to ensure effective and efficient deployment of technology and processes required to fulfill the scope of the project.

You have strong technical, organizational and planning skills to build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success and management of expectations. You have strong experience working with Technology and Business stakeholders and are effectively able to drive positive project results with team members. You are a change agent that loves to learn, are resourceful and takes initiative to get things done. You have experience coordinating multiple projects, have an eye for detail and can effectively communicate and collaborate between internal and external teams, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

Duties

In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage end-to-end detailed project plans, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables while involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Proactively coordinate Global and cross-functional teams, develop, direct and monitor the progress on a project by managing the plan and resources.
  • Define and support the implementation of change management plans to ensure successful high adoption of the new platforms and processes in-scope of the project.
  • Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders about project status, risks, and changes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective project deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.
  • Leverage project management best practices to implement tools/templates/techniques necessary for consistency in the delivery of project deliverables.
  • Build and leverage strong business relationships with project sponsor and subject matter expertise in the business domain they are operating in and the systems/solutions they are supporting.
  • Work with the project team to determine functional requirements.
  • Identify and supervise critical path activities and solve problems or raise them to immediate supervisor as needed.
  • Ensure proper governance is in place throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle to best meet project objectives.
  • Communicate a clear vision of the project objectives and motivate the team to achieve them.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data and AI, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in IT project management
  • PMP certification an asset or formal Project Management Training;
  • Passion for technology with strong technical acumen
  • Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills; ability to provide updates to senior leadership levels; adept at building relationships with internal teams and external partners;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and to be a self-starter with minimal guidance/oversight required.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools, techniques, and methods.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • You have experience managing complex technical projects in a matrix environment and completed projects through full Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC), Requirements and Design, Quality Assurance and Implementation and Release Management.
  • Willing to have the ‘tough discussions’ and in challenging situations, is tireless, strong willed, persistent, tenacious and determined.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize personal and project work according to benefit, goals and objectives
  • Adapts quickly to new or changing conditions.


Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $76,799 - $102,398 per year
