Supervisor Ground Operations Logistics

OverviewResponsible for supervising Ground Operations Logistics Leads and overseeing operations to ensure effective management of uniforms, linens/blankets, PPE, commissary, and warehouse supplies. Provides oversight of inventory control, vendor management, warehouse operations, and supply distribution to domestic and international stations. Ensures compliance with company standards, supports operational readiness, and responds to irregular operations with timely solutions.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and directs Ground Operations Logistics Leads and coordinators in their daily responsibilities.Oversee ordering and distribution of uniforms, linens/blankets, PPE, and related supplies across the network, ensuring stock levels are maintained.Manage inventory control, including weekly physical inventories, reconciliations, and variance resolution.Review and approve inventory transactions, withdrawals, and transfers.Inspect MIA Gateway warehouse and cooler facilities for damages or deficiencies, coordinate vendors for repairs and maintenance.Supervise and coordinate MIA Gateway warehouse and cooler projects to ensure timely completion and compliance with company standards.Coordinate vendor badging requirements to ensure authorized access to warehouse and cooler facilities.Review logistics data and reports, providing summaries to the Manager.Manage AMC CAC & Base Access Badge requests, renewals, and database maintenance in Veoci as directed.Oversee the use of Veoci for tracking logistics activities and ensure system compliance by staff.Manage supply shipments for worldwide operations including ULD build-up material, shoring, and plastics.Review invoices, accruals, and departmental credit card expenses for accuracy before submission to the Manager.Respond to irregular operations or urgent logistics issues in the 24/7 warehouse as needed.Participate in meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve potential issues.Support special projects, audits, and inter-departmental initiatives as assigned by Ground Operations Logistics Management.Travel domestically and internationally in support of Ground Operations activities. Ensure compliance with departmental SOPs and assist in reviewing and updating procedures.Review invoices for accuracy and relay discrepancies to the Manager.QualificationsBS/BA preferred or equivalent work experience.6 years' experience in aviation, logistics, or warehouse operations.Knowledge of ground and cargo operations processes preferred. Familiarity with logistical coordination, inventory management, and supply chain practices.Familiarity with Veoci and Ariba systems preferred.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized inventory systems.Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.Valid passport and ability to travel internationally and domestically.
