Position Overview:

V&E Hospitality Group is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Food Servers. The Food Server is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests by providing exceptional service, taking orders, and delivering food in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Interaction:Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist in answering questions about the menu and specials. Offer recommendations and take accurate food and beverage orders.
  2. Order Accuracy:Input food and drink orders into the POS system with precision, ensuring modifications and dietary requests are accurately communicated to the kitchen staff.
  3. Service Excellence:Serve food and beverages promptly, checking for order accuracy before delivering to guests. Anticipate and fulfill guest needs throughout their dining experience.
  4. Table Maintenance:Clear tables efficiently, removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils. Reset tables promptly to provide a clean and welcoming atmosphere for the next guests.
  5. Up-Selling:Encourage guests to explore menu options, including appetizers, desserts, and specialty drinks, to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue.
  6. Payment Processing:Present bills to guests, process payments accurately, and provide change or receipts as needed. Thank guests for their patronage and invite them to return.
  7. Cleanliness:Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including side stations and service areas. Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness.
  8. Teamwork:Collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and fellow servers to ensure smooth service and a positive dining experience. Assist colleagues during peak times as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Food Server in a restaurant or similar setting is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication and active listening abilities.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a desire to exceed guest expectations.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage menu items.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical qualifications:

Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively.

Ability to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 15lbs and bus tubs weighing up to 40 lbs.

Ability to perform reaching and stooping motions.
