This contract role is dedicated to preparing the analysis of existing infrastructure, foundational architecture, solution strategies, and technical frameworks required for future implementation.</p><p>The initiative focuses on modernizing a legacy application portfolio by transitioning to a secure, cloud-based, and supportable environment. It aims to reduce technical debt, improve service delivery, and align with broader sustainability and digital transformation goals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Scope of Work:</strong></p><p>This engagement is strictly focused on current system analysis, planning and draft solution design . The selected candidate will not be responsible for implementation but will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction and readiness for future execution.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Current system analysis, planning and draft solution design for multiple applications</li><li>Assess current systems and identify opportunities for cloud migration, automation, and improved supportability</li><li>Design future-state solution architectures aligned with modernization goals</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and technical requirements</li><li>Develop solution roadmaps, integration strategies, and technical documentation</li><li>Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and lifecycle management standards</li><li>Support governance and decision-making through technical expertise and analysis</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Must Haves:</u></strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of experience in solutions design</li><li>Ability to design hosting technology solutions based on client specifications, standards, policies, best practices, and cost models.</li><li>Knowledge of integrated networking technologies, mainframe, midrange servers (Azure, Migration, On prem to Cloud, application assessment)</li><li>ability to provide technical leadership and guidance during solution design and implementation phases.</li><li>Understanding of OPS standards, infrastructure management,</li><li>Ability to evaluate system conditions, technical performance, and capacity to determine feasibility of expansion or replacement</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>About Drake International:</u></strong></p><p>Since 1951, Drake International has been a global leader in flexible and permanent staffing, connecting people with the right roles at any career stage, both in Canada and worldwide.
