Read on.<br><br><br><br></p><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><p><strong>This role is based in our Toronto office.<br><br></strong></p><p>The Interior Design Show (IDS), a flagship event under Informa Connect, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven <strong>Senior Sales Manager</strong> to drive the commercial success of its Toronto and Vancouver shows. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for contributing 40% of the sales revenue for both events, playing a pivotal role in shaping the growth and impact of IDS within the design community.<br><br></p><p>This position offers a competitive salary plus commission, alongside Informa’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes a health plan and RRSP contributions. The role is hybrid, with the majority of time spent at Informa’s Toronto office.<br><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong></p><p><strong>Sales Development<br><br></strong></p><ul><li><strong>Booth Sales:</strong> Actively pursue new and existing business opportunities through outbound sales efforts, including cold calling, client meetings, and networking within the design community.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, preparing tailored proposals and closing sales to meet revenue targets.</li><li>Identify and qualify new leads by researching design and architecture websites, magazines, directories, and attending local and international trade shows.</li><li>Conduct in-person visits to potential clients whenever possible to strengthen relationships and secure business.</li></ul><p><strong>Account Management<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the year, ensuring their needs and expectations are met promptly and professionally.</li><li>Manage relationships with major national show sponsors, providing exceptional service and fostering long-term partnerships.</li><li>Maintain regular communication with the account base to ensure client satisfaction and retention.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><p><strong>Experience & Qualifications<br><br></strong></p><ul><li>Proven track record in <strong>sales and business development</strong>, ideally within the design sector.</li><li><strong>5-10 years of experience</strong> in sales, event planning, or business development roles.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to plan and organize <strong>large-scale events</strong>.</li><li>Strong knowledge of and experience working within the <strong>design community</strong>, with an appreciation for high-quality design.</li><li>Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join IDS?<br><br></strong></p><p>As a Senior Sales Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the success of one of the most prestigious design events in Canada.
