[Remote] Director of Sales, Data Centers (Electronic Security)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Allied Universal® is hiring a Director of Sales, Data Centers. This role is responsible for securing new business across the data center vertical and driving enterprise growth through a consultative, client-focused approach.


Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Business Development: Develop and execute strategic plans to identify, engage, and convert new enterprise-level clients within the data center vertical
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting (self-sourced and company-generated leads) through customized proposals, pricing, contract negotiation, and post-sale execution
  • Vertical Collaboration: Partner with enterprise and field sales teams to co-sell high-value opportunities, leveraging deep understanding of the data center industry’s operational, regulatory, and security requirements
  • Sales Performance and Reporting: Maintain a robust pipeline and consistently exceed sales targets, utilizing Salesforce.com to track progress and forecast accurately
  • Solution Selling and Presentations: Deliver compelling, executive-level presentations that align Allied Universal® Technology Services’ offerings - including installation, service, maintenance, and hosted managed services - with the physical security and uptime demands of data center clients
  • Client Relationship Management: Build long-term consultative relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and fostering repeat business; collaborate with engineering and operations team members to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Strategic Travel Planning: Optimize nationwide travel schedules to maximize client engagement and business development opportunities
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies in the data center and critical infrastructure space, identifying opportunities to enhance security and operational resilience

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study
  • Associate's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study with a minimum of twelve (12) years of B2B technical sales experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of B2B technical sales experience
  • Valid driver's license if driving a company vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience in a Business-to-Business environment selling technical solutions and services to end-users in the Data Center Sector
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience leveraging network connections within the data centers sector to position expertise
  • Proven success in exceeding new business sales goals
  • Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills
  • Strategic planning and organizational capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience selling and managing electronic security solutions—such as access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection
