Representing over 80 manufacturers and thousands of products, The MH Companies delivers project specific solutions that consistently exceed the expectations of customers in our markets.<br><br>The primary responsibility of Quotations is to secure business through providing competitive bids to customers, negotiating pricing and other project details with customers and manufacturers and to drive bid strategy as a part of the sales and quotations team for particular projects. Quoters strategically secure business through closing sales. Quote creation will be aligned with established and evolving company processes that lead to clean orders, accurate data and a minimum of project problems. Successful quoters will be able to think strategically to win business while having the attention to detail necessary to create accurate quotes.<br><br><strong>Desired Attributes<br><br></strong><ul><li>A strong desire to win. Understand that time (your own and that of others) is a precious asset that should not be wasted.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Summary Of Essential Job Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Work with sales to determine project bid strategy and be a part of strategy communications to all sales personnel that have influence on particular projects utilizing Oasis software.</li><li>Accurately create and send quotes on required bid dates utilizing Oasis software. Quotes are required to have specific project data and all job information included.</li><li>Evaluate project drawings, fixture schedule and specifications to determine bid or no bid on particular projects. Include all required products on quotes per all project information provided.</li><li>Coordinate with sales to bid projects and acquire commitments from distributors and contractors.</li><li>Understand manufacturer policies and sales strategies in order to maximize profit on all projects.</li><li>Work as a part of a team with sales, the quotes department and project management to ensure strategic and efficient quote and order processing.</li><li>Request submittals from the Quote Support team and review submittal information for accuracy and send to customer.</li><li>Contacting manufacturers for product quotations and negotiating with manufacturer for pricing necessary to secure project orders.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Construction industry experience including understanding of key stakeholders in the commercial building construction process. Electrical or lighting industry experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to strategically negotiate and close orders with customers.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to quickly process and organize a large volume of customer requests.</li><li>Strong computer skills using standard Microsoft Office applications with the ability to quickly learn the use of additional business specific software packages.
