You will tackle complex design challenges to deliver exceptional product experiences for our customers, with support and collaboration from all areas of the business. </p><p><br></p><p>You will help execute our product design and take ownership of the end-to-end design process in close collaboration with our design leader, Product, and Engineering teams; you will help ship the simplest, most intuitive product solutions.  </p><p><br></p><p>In this role, you will work in a highly collaborative environment while getting autonomy, ownership, and the ability to impact the entire product. </p><p><br></p><p>This role is based in Toronto; we expect you to come to the office (downtown Toronto) at least once or twice a week for meetings and working sessions, but you can work remotely on other days.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Working with PMs to understand/define problem statements using user research, data insights and other tools</li><li>Thinking through the user journey/scenarios and identifying the best design solution while taking into account any business/tech factors</li><li>Validating designs with users, and getting alignment with internal stakeholders</li><li>Getting designs ready for dev, supporting the dev team through implementation, and ensuring accurate translation of the design to code</li><li>Collaborating with other designers to maintain and update the Design System as needed</li><li>Helping evolve the long-term vision for the product/design by collaborating with the rest of the team</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Must Have</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>4+ years of product design experience, of which at least 2+ years at a technology startup</li><li>Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, and usability testing</li><li>Experience owning product design from start to finish, working with developers and PMs</li><li>Extraordinary visual design skills, and a solid understanding of UX/UI principles</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to persuade stakeholders</li><li>Mastery of Figma</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>What’s in it for you?</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Be part of a dynamic, driven team with flat hierarchies and a get-it-done collaborative culture</li><li>Training and development budget to ensure professional growth</li><li>Regular team events, game nights, and other social activities</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Practicals</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Team: Product & Design</li><li>Location: Toronto-based only, 2-day a week in office.
