Personal Stylist & Image Consultant - Remote Position

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and empathetic personal stylist/image consultant to work one-on-one with our client to develop her personal style and build a comprehensive wardrobe. This is a results-oriented position focused on helping someone discover their authentic style while building confidence through clothing that fits perfectly and reflects their personality.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial style consultation to understand client's lifestyle, preferences, and goals

Guide client through style discovery process to identify her unique aesthetic

Curate clothing selections based on body type, lifestyle needs, and emerging style preferences

Conduct virtual try-on sessions via Zoom to evaluate fit, styling, and overall look

Provide real-time feedback and styling advice during virtual sessions

Source and purchase clothing items that align with client's style profile

Manage returns and exchanges for items that don't work

Build a final wardrobe collection of 50+ pieces that work cohesively together

Provide styling education and tips for future shopping and outfit coordination

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a personal stylist, image consultant, or similar role

Strong understanding of body types, fit, and proportions

Excellent eye for color, style, and current fashion trends

Experience working with clients who are new to fashion or building confidence

Proficiency with virtual consultations and online shopping platforms

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Patience and sensitivity when working with clients exploring their style

Ability to work within various budget parameters

Knowledge of diverse brands and price points

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in image consulting or personal styling

Experience with wardrobe building projects

Understanding of sustainable and ethical fashion options

Familiarity with online styling platforms and tools

Portfolio of previous client transformations

Project Details

Goal: Curate 50+ perfectly fitting pieces that reflect client's authentic style, along with 5 pairs of shoes

Format: Remote work with virtual try-on sessions

Timeline: Flexible, based on client's schedule and comfort level

Approach: Collaborative and educational, focusing on building client's confidence

Compensation

Project-based compensation (rate negotiable based on experience)

Clothing budget provided separately

Bonus potential based on client satisfaction and project success

Next Steps

We're looking for someone who understands that great styling goes beyond just clothes – it's about helping someone feel confident and authentic in what they wear.
