Title: Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON
Rate of Pay: $35-$40/hour
Job Type: Temporary – 4 Months with potential to extend or convert to permanent based on performance.

Responsibilities
In this Payroll & Benefits Specialist role in Toronto, you will be responsible for the following:

Processing full cycle, multi-province, bi-weekly payrolls for both salary and hourly employees using ADP WFN
Ensuring tax compliance, including legislative components of paying taxes and regulatory filings
Preparing terminations, manual checks, and ROEs
Administering multiple employee benefit programs and processing payments to third parties like garnishments and pension plans
Performing GL account reconciliation and internal reporting
Monitoring changes in Canadian payroll legislation and providing ad hoc reports
Acting as a key contact for internal inquiries related to payroll and benefits

Qualifications
In this Payroll & Benefits Specialist role in Toronto, you will be required to have the following:
A minimum of 5-7 years of multi-province payroll experience including QB
Experience working with a company with at least 1000 employees and using an enterprise-grade payroll management system
Must have ADP Workforce Now experience
Completion of the CPA Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification is preferred
