Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist

A medical clinic with 8 exam rooms and 4 Family Doctors is searching for an additional receptionist to support in front desk operations and assist in administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

- Sort mail and incoming faxes

- Follow up on specialist referrals; ensuring patients are booked

- Room patients and take vitals

- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar (Ocean + Oscar Pro)

- Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner

- Answer phone calls, respond to emails

- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting is preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
- Proficiency in computer systems and electronic medical records

Please note that this position may require evening or weekend shifts, depending on the needs of the clinic.

The clinic is seeking an assistant who can help tackle some of the many administrative tasks that come up throughout the day and assist in rooming. You will perform various tasks on a daily basis so the ability to multitask and prioritize is essential.

In addition, the unique setup of this medical clinic will require you to interact directly with the staff and clients of SWAT Health Junction Inc. SWAT Health is an education-first, health and wellness company that integrates therapeutics and professional strength and conditioning coaching. A strong understanding of their processes and services will be required as you will collaborate and coordinate with the administrative team of SWAT Health to create synergy between the two entities.
