Job Summary

Location: Toronto Pearson Airport
Schedule: Shifts will vary from Monday - Sunday between 7:00am - 12:00 am.


As the Executive Sous Chef, you are responsible for delivering an elevated culinary experience that reflects the premium standards of the Air Canada Signature Suite. You’ll be a key ambassador of our hospitality vision, ensuring seamless, memorable guest interactions and flawless kitchen operations.

Now, if you were to come on board as an Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef, we’d ask you to do the following for us:

  • Oversee and manage kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Direct food preparation and collaborate on menu design
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food quality and safety standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with inventory, ordering supplies, and equipment maintenance
  • Train new employees and support hiring processes
  • Schedule staff shifts and adjust payroll as needed
  • Complete and maintain health and safety logs and monthly audits
  • Communicate effectively with service teams and respond to guest feedback
  • Ensure compliance with all client and company policies
  • Support menu refreshes and provide creative input
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and manage labour within budget
  • Submit monthly inventory and follow waste reduction techniques
