About the position

The District Manager at OSL is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a region of 10 to 15 retail locations. This position focuses on mentoring, training, and developing in-store teams to enhance sales performance and customer experience. The District Manager will implement strategies to improve both high-performing and underperforming locations while fostering a collaborative and team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, developing and energizing a dedicated district of prime retail locations, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Director
  • Supercharging sales by recruiting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and mentoring the district's sales team
  • Creating game-changing strategies for high-performing and underperforming locations
  • Managing staffing levels at all locations
  • Following procedures for on-boarding and off-boarding all employees as outlined by Operations and Human Resources
  • Visiting stores in person to build face-to-face relationships and ensure compliance with policies
  • Leading by example with integrity and professionalism to create a collaborative, open-door, team-first culture

Requirements

  • Amazing communication and presentation skills
  • Strong management, coaching, and leadership experience at a retail organization
  • A minimum of 3 years of multi-unit experience
  • Ability to strategically recruit, select and hire driven team members
  • Powerful organization and planning skills
  • Strong understanding of recruitment, human resources, coaching, performance management, and employment standards
  • A track record of enhancing sales and service while maintaining operational standards
  • Proven ability to manage district fiscal budgets and forecast sales
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexibility to work beyond traditional business hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned district
