This role is responsible for ensuring that design, engineering, and construction activities comply with project requirements, safety regulations, and industry standards.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Lead and manage all civil engineering and construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, roads, drainage systems, retaining structures, and utilities. </li><li>Oversee the technical design, review, and approval of civil works to ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements. </li><li>Coordinate with structural, geotechnical, MEP, and systems teams to ensure seamless project integration. </li><li>Provide technical expertise in soil stabilization, ground improvement, foundation engineering, and material selection. </li><li>Manage civil engineering documentation, including technical reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications. </li><li>Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to ensure proper execution of civil works according to design and quality requirements. </li><li>Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and industry best practices. </li><li>Identify and resolve technical challenges in construction, offering innovative solutions to prevent delays and cost overruns. </li><li>Ensure proper risk management and mitigation strategies for civil construction activities. </li><li>Oversee the implementation of quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes for all civil engineering works. </li><li>Review method statements, work plans, and construction sequences for complex civil work operations. </li><li>Assist in budgeting, cost estimation, and resource planning for civil engineering works. </li><li>Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability goals, including erosion control, stormwater management, and sustainable materials use. </li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. </li><li>8 + years of experience in civil engineering and construction, with leadership experience in large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects. </li><li>Strong knowledge of civil design principles, construction methodologies, and materials science. </li><li>Expertise in geotechnical engineering, foundation design, drainage systems, and roadworks. </li><li>Familiarity with international and local civil engineering codes. </li><li>Experience working with contractors, consultants, and government agencies on civil infrastructure projects. </li><li>Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>What Amico Can Offer You:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Competitive Salary</li><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li><li>Employer Matching Retirement Program</li><li>Life insurance</li></ul><p><br></p><p><em>At Amico, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
