Summary:

We are currently seeking a Business Development Representative, Enterprise to join our Sales team in Toronto.

Who you are:

As a Business Development Representative, Enterprise, you'll engage directly with large enterprise accounts as the first point of contact in complex, strategic, and high-value sales cycles. Your primary focus will be generating leads for our legal AI solutions across top-tier law firms and corporate legal departments. In this role, you'll spark meaningful conversations, uncover business challenges, and position our solutions to meet the unique needs of each prospect-laying the foundation for successful, long-term client relationships.

What your team does:

Our Business Development Representative team is a critical part of the engine that drives interest in Clio's product offerings across our prospective customer base. They work with new enterprise leads to provide sound advice, offer solutions to complex problems using strong business acumen and resourcefulness. We create qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executive teams that directly impact Clio's revenue growth.

What you'll work on:
  • Build revenue pipeline into enterprise target accounts within your assigned territory through a disciplined, multi-channel outreach strategy.

  • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to build pipeline, align on strategy, and set up high-quality product demonstrations.

  • Create awareness of, and spark interest in, Clio's product suite with key decision-makers.

  • Develop a deep understanding of your assigned segment, uncovering unique business challenges and tailoring solutions that generate new opportunities.

  • Sharpen your sales skills through ongoing training, coaching, and feedback loops.

  • Stay agile and consultative in an evolving sales environment, adapting strategies to meet market demands.

  • Understand prospects' practice areas, technical requirements, and competitive landscape to effectively communicate Clio's value proposition.

  • Deliver consistent reporting on activity, pipeline progression, and results-both qualitative and quantitative.

  • Ensure all prospecting activities are accurately documented in Salesforce and meet/exceed daily KPIs.

What you may have:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a BDR/SDR role, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology sales with enterprise accounts.

  • Proven success engaging senior decision-makers in complex, consultative sales cycles.

  • Executive presence with the ability to confidently present to and influence sophisticated buyers.

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand complex challenges and map them to tailored solutions.
    Competitive mindset paired with intellectual curiosity about law, technology, and AI.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.

  • Proficiency with Salesforce and other sales engagement tools.

  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving your craft by using AI

The expected new hire base pay for this role is 67,760 CAD. The expected new hire commission pay is 29,040 CAD. The opportunity to earn commissions beyond the stated amounts are possible as commission earnings are uncapped.

We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
