Through teamwork and collaboration, we’re building a stronger, more resilient Stantec every day.    <br><br>Your Opportunity<br><br>As a valued member of the Business Process Management (BPM) team reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis for Financial applications, you will engage with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to translate their business needs into system solutions that achieve desired outcomes.<br><br>Your duties will include collaborating with stakeholders, leading workshops, modeling processes, identifying pain-points and improvement opportunities, eliciting business requirements, and assisting with testing and organizational change management.<br><br>Your Key Responsibilities<br><br>As a BA practitioner you will engage on project teams to:<br><br><ul><li>Understand client business needs.</li><li>Analyze business processes to identify pain-points, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Conduct workshops to elicit business requirements.</li><li>Document information using tools such as MS Office suite and Confluence.</li><li>Assist with product assessments and vendor selections.</li><li>Facilitate user acceptance testing and participate in testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution.</li><li>Support cross-functional programs and projects that may include IT, Payroll, Project Accounting, and other areas.<br><br></li></ul><strong>As a BA Practice Proponent You Will<br><br></strong><ul><li>Follow BPM practices and guidelines.</li><li>Work with colleagues to improve those practices and guidelines.</li><li>Assist with day-to-day operational issues.</li><li>Adhere to Stantec policies and practices.<br><br></li></ul>Your Capabilities and Credentials<br><br><strong>Required<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills</li><li>Highly motivated and self-directed</li><li>Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience and knowledge in corporate financial systems.</li><li>Experience with documentation and work tracking tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office suite.</li><li>Experience building test cases and performing testing with tools such as QTest</li><li>Experience as a Business Analyst in a large organization</li><li>Experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems</li><li>Experience with Agile development practices<br><br></li></ul><strong>Education And Additional Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Post-secondary degree, ideally related to Business or Management Information Systems</li><li>Professional accounting designation and/or IIBA certification, or substantial progress towards one, would be a significant asset</li><li>Minimum 3 years of related experience<br><br></li></ul>This description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the employee and other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or may be changed at any time with or without notice.<br><br>Stantec is a place where the best and brightest come to build on each other’s talents, do exciting work, and make an impact on the world around us.
